Not sure about getting support?
A lot of people are put off accessing care/support services because of their beliefs surrounding what it involves.
They may hear the words ‘care’ and ‘support’ and immediately get put off.
At Kinect Services Limited, we encourage all our client’s to live as independently as possible, and our care support is adapted to their specific wants and needs. We focus on overall wellbeing, which encompasses more than just cleaning and food.
Social isolation is a big problem for a number of client’s when they first enter our service, as they aren’t able to see people as often as they like. Alongside our one to one support offering companionship, we provide day care services, where our clients engage in group based activities surrounding their interests, which enable them to spend time mixing with other people whilst doing something they enjoy.
Our one to one support can also help you to do things you may have thought you can’t cope with on your own. Often people stop doing what they normally would because they don’t feel they can do it on their own. Our care assistants may be able to help you get back into things by supporting you, rather than doing it for you. A common example is our care assistants helping with a weekly shop and then helping with some parts of the cooking at home.
