Paediatric First Aid Training

Paediatric First Aid covers a variety of fundamental first aid topics, it refers to the skills and knowledge required to provide effective first aid to children (anyone under the age of 16). This course will cover how to manage this in the event of an emergency of an infant/child.

Course Learning Outcomes

  • Understanding the role and responsible of a First Aider for children and infants
  • Knowing how to assess a scene and provide support
  • Being able to provide First Aid to an unresponsive or not breathing child/infant and identify when to administer CPR
  • Being competent in using an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Know how to provide First Aid to a children/infants with minor injuries
