PATS/Disability Awareness Training
PATs training provides support and awareness to drivers/PAs carrying passengers onboard. It consists of 5 modules including a mandatory induction where you will learn the awareness of individuals needs and many other elements.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Understanding your general responsibilities as a Passenger Assistant for those with disabilities
- Knowing how to supervise children and young adults with special needs
- Being competent with emergency procedures and contingency plans
- Being able to practically demonstrate how to assist passengers who have walking difficulties, partial sight or are blind or deaf and travel in wheelchairs
- Being aware of safeguarding/GDPR
